Video Blog - Does the Current Inverted Yield Curve Signal an Oncoming Recession?
March 2019

Taylor Nadauld Ph.D, Chief Economist at Visible Equity, offers his thoughts on the recent inversion of the yield curve. Historically, inverted yield curves have preceded several recessions. Will the current inversion result in an immediate recession, or are we still potentially a few years away from a recession? Dr. Nadauld notes that an oncoming recession would be unlikely to be as severe as the Great Recession of 2008, and that consumer spending, or lack thereof, will play a key role as well.
